Embodying the modern interpretation of a luxury sport watch, the Aquanaut by Patek Philippe was first introduced to the market in 1996 as the reference 5060. Rumored to have been limited to approximately 1,000 pieces, the reference 5060 was only available for one short year, then immediately replaced by the reference 5066 which features a sapphire crystal display back. As the first Aquanaut reference, it features many small distinctive details only found on the earliest versions, from the early caliber 330 SC movement and solid case back to the cursive font on the date aperture.
The watch is in overall good condition with light wear throughout commensurate with age. Case is in overall good condition with minor surface wear and visible scratches. Rubber strap is in overall good condition and surface wear throughout commensurate with age. Dial is in overall good condition. Bezel has signs of nicks. Buckle has signs of scratches. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
Fits a wrist size of 6 inches or smaller.
