Introduced in 1972 and designed by Gérald Genta, one of watchmaking's most renowned designers, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak made history as the first stainless steel luxury sports watch.
The dial of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Tourbillon Chronograph reference 25977ST.OO.D002CR.01 features a striking black "Grande Tapisserie" pattern, providing depth and texture. It is adorned with white gold applied hour markers and Royal Oak hands with luminescent coating for enhanced visibility. The open-worked design showcases the tourbillon at the 6 o'clock position, adding a dynamic visual element. The chronograph subdials are seamlessly integrated, maintaining a balanced and sophisticated layout that complements the iconic Royal Oak aesthetic. This watch is accompanied by a presentation non-AP box.

Very GoodThe watch is in overall very good condition with minor wear throughout commensurate with age. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
