Beyond the Canvas: Pioneers of Italian Art from the Levett Collection

This season, we are excited to present nine remarkable works from the esteemed collection of John Kaldor, who has for over 50 years been a leading figure in Australia’s contemporary art scene. Kaldor is known for his dedication as a patron, collector and supporter. Through his non profit, Kaldor Public Art Projects, he has played a pivotal role in bringing groundbreaking art installations to audiences across Australia. This selection includes a wonderful work by Roy Lichstenstein,&nbsp;Peanut Butter Cup, to be offered in the Modern &amp; Contemporary Evening Auction and exceptional works by&nbsp;artists such as Christo, Carl Andre, Franz West, John Baldessari, Francis Alÿs and Urs Fischer to be offered within the Contemporary Day Auction, whose innovative approaches to materials have defined their careers. These works exemplify Kaldor’s dedication to collecting transformative art that pushes the limits of material and meaning.

This season’s Contemporary Day Auction brings an exciting group of works by some of the most celebrated and sought-after artists of the moment.
