Biography
Fergus joined Sotheby’s in 2010. He began as a member of the Impressionist and Modern Art team and in 2013 joined the Private Client Group. He was responsible for advising Sotheby’s clients on auction and private sales transactions which he continues to do today. He has been responsible for bringing several collections and high value lots to market predominantly in the Impressionist, Modern and Contemporary art field. He was instrumental in Sotheby’s first outdoor selling exhibition in Asia, with Sotheby’s Presents Zadok Ben-David at the Singapore Botanic Gardens. In 2022 Fergus joined the Private Sales division where he actively works with collectors and dealers buying and selling works of art internationally. He is fluent in Portuguese.
