Sotheby’s is pleased to announce Le Souffle moderne – Une collection Parisienne, in partnership with François de Ricqlès Conseil.

The artworks in this collection, which have remained in the same Parisian collection for over 60 years, are characterized by their apparent oneness, and highlight the experiments on both shape and color inherent to the avant-garde of the 1930s and 1940s. Alongside Joan Miró's masterpiece L’oiseau du matin, executed in 1939, this first-time auction collection features works by some of the 20th century’s greatest masters, including Pablo Picasso, Fernand Léger, Nicolas de Staël and Georges Braque.

Joan Miró's L'oiseau du matin will be previewed at Sotheby's Paris from 10 to 15 March.
