Biography
Molly Steiger began working at Sotheby’s in the Print Department in 1996 after graduating from Colgate University with a degree in Art and Art History. Over the past 2 decades she has worked towards the success of numerous special auctions including the Kenneth Tyler Collection, The Life and Art of Toulouse-Lautrec, Edvard Munch Prints from the Larsen Foundation, Barnett Newman’s 18 Cantos, Important Contemporary Prints from an American Collection and Andy Warhol prints from the Felissimo Corporation in Japan. She sources business for the two annual New York sales of Modern and Contemporary Prints with a primary focus on Post War works. In 2014, she organized Highlights from the Collection of Jordan D. Schnitzer and his Family Foundation hosted in our York Avenue galleries. This event marked the first New York exhibition of works from what is currently the largest assemblage of contemporary prints and multiples in private hands.
