The assemblage exemplifies the most refined Japanese sensibility in Song ceramics and juxtaposes superlative pieces, such as a spectacular Cizhou carved peony meiping, alongside more intimate objects - bowls, cups, censers - from all the most celebrated kilns of the period.”
