Edvard Munch’s pursuit of emotional truth changed art forever. In the first of the Sotheby’s Talks this spring, entitled Breathe and Feel, Suffer and Love, artist Tracey Emin and Sotheby’s Simon Shaw explore how women shaped this quest, at a time when relations between the sexes were changing radically. They ask why Munch’s questions are more compelling than ever today.
